UPDATE – LONDON, ON (June 24, 2022) – A man was arrested yesterday in relation to a kidnapping that took place last week.
Peijie Zhao, 22, of Niagara Falls, has been charged with one count of kidnapping.
The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in London court today in relation to the charge.
Investigators believe that this was a targeted incident, and was not random. The investigation is ongoing.

LONDON, ON (June 24, 2022) – On Thursday, June 23, 2022, at approximately 4:50 p.m., emergency crews responded to a working fire at a residence on Blackfriars Street.
The London Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire.
The fire was deemed to be suspicious in nature and the investigation was assigned to members of the LPS Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the London Fire Department and the Office of the Fire Marshal.

LONDON, ON (June 23, 2022) – A London man was arrested yesterday afternoon in relation to a robbery in the downtown core.
On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, shortly after noon, a man entered a business on York Street and selected a bottle of liquor, concealing it under his clothing. He proceeded to leave the store without making any attempt to pay for the item, and was approached by security.

LONDON, ON (June 16, 2022) – London police are investigating after a woman and dog were sprayed with pepper spray this morning.
Shortly after 8 a.m., emergency crews were sent to the 600-block of Elizabeth Street in relation to a weapons investigation.
The investigation revealed that a woman and her dog were pepper sprayed.
The victim was assessed by paramedic services, and there were no serious injuries reported.
